INCREDIBLE ASSETS FOR THE VALUATION TEAM

Let’s meet some of our latest recruits.

“The many signs of Brokers that I saw as a schoolboy driving through Brussels with my parents is an image that never left me. That was the moment I realized: this was what I wanted to do when I grew up.”

KRIS PEETERMANS MRICS

Partner, Head of valuation & Advisory Belgium – Luxembourg

Kris Peetermans started his career in real estate about 23 years ago at Healy & Baker, which later became Cushman & Wakefield. After a first position at the office agency, followed by a role in valuation, Kris had the opportunity to become Head of the Valuation Team at Cushman & Wakefield. Since then, it’s been his job to further expand the department in every way. He wants to make sure his team has everything it needs to work efficiently and successfully, in an enjoyable work environment.

“Our Valuation & Advisory team is strictly made up of outstandingly talented people from diverse backgrounds. They all share a unique analytical and commercial talent, speak three languages fluently and have that special Cushman & Wakefield flair. Working with such a diverse team brings me great satisfaction.”

No wonder he would like to introduce you to the four most recent additions to the team: Alexandra, Nils, Julien and Victoria.

Alexandra Braun has come straight out of university and has developed an intriguing life vision and personality, thanks to her international trajectory. She’ll undoubtedly be a wonderful asset for the team.

Julien Dubaere, just like Alexandra, recently graduated and has shown remarkable commitment and eagerness since day one, giving his very best every day.

Nils Goedeweeck is a chip of the same block. When he felt his previous job was holding him back, his interest in real estate started to grow. His drive to turn that interest into a career opportunity is what brought him to us.

Nils shares this fascination for real estate with Victoria Parret, a cool lady who’s always looking for ways to best help her clients. She knows how to combine a flair for real estate with a firm desire to learn. But hey, who can better introduce these talents than these talents themselves?

Meet the team

VICTORIA PARRET

VICTORIA PARRET

Valuer

Victoria joined Cushman & Wakefield’s Valuation Team in September 2018. After completing her degree in the Trade Sciences with a specialization in Finance & Risk, she got her first work experience at BNP Paribas Securities Services. She’s now discovering the ins and outs of the real estate industry at Cushman & Wakefield, happy to be part of a large international player that sets the tone in this dynamic sector.

CROSS-SECTOR EXPERTISE

Victoria’s last job is nothing like her current job as a valuer. Thanks to her colleagues’ great support, her motivated and curious attitude and her critical mind, she has learned a lot in a short space of time.

“The Valuation Department values a wide range of cross-industry qualities. It makes for a diverse job, which allows you to gain a solid understanding of the different areas of the real estate market. That’s a real plus for me.”

VISION FOR THE FUTURE

“In the future, I see the professional real estate market growing even further, with extra attention to clients’ wishes. I also think mobility will become an even bigger draw card on the office market.”

ALWAYS IMPROVING TOGETHER

JULIEN DUBAERE

JULIEN DUBAERE

Valuer

Julien joined the Cushman & Wakefield Belgium Valuation Team in September of 2018, with four years of Applied Economic Sciences studies at KU Leuven and another year of Finance in France under his belt. With both his parents working as real estate professionals, he was introduced to the industry from a young age. Working at Cushman & Wakefield is the perfect chance for him to learn the ropes at one of the major real estate firms

AN ANALYTICAL MIND WITH GREAT SOCIAL SKILLS

Julien always strives to be as meticulous as possible. Making quarterly accounts, analysing cashflow, drawing up estimation reports… He likes to put his analytical mind to work with incredible attention to detail. Providing the client with an outstanding service is a top priority to him. Apart from that, Julien is also a firm believer in strong client contact.

“It’s extremely important to earn your real estate clients’ trust. You can only do so by communicating extensively and delivering nothing less that top quality work.”

A CHALLENGING AND DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENT

“The real estate industry is constantly changing, and one subsector’s growth is often linked to another’s downfall. The market is so dynamic, and that’s exactly what makes it interesting.”

A GREAT ATMOSPHERE FOR GREAT COORPERATION

The open working atmosphere at Cushman & Wakefield ensures optimal cooperation between colleagues. There’s a great deal of flexibility and freedom, and every team member is trusted to handle their accounts in their own way.

“Everybody shares their knowledge and makes sure important information reaches the right colleague quickly. That’s one of the team’s greatest strengths.”

ALEXANDRA BRAUN

ALEXANDRA BRAUN

Valuer

Alexandra joined the Cushman & Wakefield Valuation Team in April 2019. She came straight from the lecture halls of the Louvain School of Management, where she obtained her Master’s in International Business and Corporate Finance over the course of an international trajectory that took her – among other places – to Mexico.

SMART ANALYSIS AND LOTS OF CLIENT CONTACT: A WINNING COMBO

After her studies, Alexandra wanted to do something involving a lot of analysis. The fact that being a valuer would also guarantee her lots of widely diverse client contact was a big plus for her. She is solution-oriented by nature and wants to provide her clients with thorough analysis and high-quality valuations at all times.

“I always had an interest in real estate and had my eye on this industry for some time. When I applied for the job, I got to experience the vision and atmosphere at Cushman & Wakefield. And when I clicked with my interviewers, I knew I was in the right place.”

VISION FOR THE FUTURE

“We see consumer behaviour changing, which according to me will impact the retail industry in how consumers live the whole shopping experience. Customer experience will become more and more important. Apart from that, I believe that the presence of retail is precisely what makes an office location attractive and dynamic.”

GROWING, TOGETHER WITH THE TEAM

Alexandra wants to support her colleagues by putting teamwork first, every day, seeing the world with a positive mindset and being open to any form of feedback. She believes the right attitude not only affords individual progress, but also helps the team grow at the same time.

“The team is extremely ambitious yet very approachable. Everyone’s open to questions and takes the time to explain certain things, which I very much appreciate. I have a really good feeling about this.”

NILS GOEDEWEECK

NILS GOEDEWEECK

Valuer

After four years of Applied Economic Sciences studies at KU Leuven and another year specializing in Fiscal Law at VUB, Nils started out working at BNP Paribas Fortis. When he eventually reached the point where he couldn’t see any further opportunities for career growth, he decided to push his limits by travelling the world for seven months.

Upon his return, he decided to push them even further and applied for an opening at Cushman & Wakefield Belgium.

BORN FOR CHALLENGE

Thanks to his studies and commercial experience, Nils is able to read his clients’ wishes to perfection. He always strives to provide the right solutions through rational analysis. It’s only natural then that a position as valuer, combining commercial and analytic skills, would be right up his alley.

“The position and the company both won me over. It’s a diverse and challenging role, in an industry that really interests me. Cushman & Wakefield’s people-oriented vision and drive for innovation really inspire me.”

DYNAMICS

“As a junior, you learn a lot and your responsibilities grow really fast. In an industry that’s constantly evolving and where every property is unique, that makes the job very interesting. You’re always on the lookout for new trends, keeping track of how they affect the market.”

GREAT SERVICE, CLOSE COOPERATION

Nils wants to bring value to the team by putting his clients first, providing independent and objective advice. Working together with his colleagues in the Valuation team with special attention to detail, he wants to go the extra mile to achieve the highest level of client satisfaction.

“The team welcomed me really well. They’re young and dynamic, just like me. I’m really grateful for the good start I had, and for all the tips and tricks I have already learned from my co-workers”.
