Quartier Bleu is a brand new residential and shopping complex with a unique location in the city center of Hasselt along the ‘Blauwe Boulevard’. Since the beginning of the project in 2012, Cushman & Wakefield has enjoyed a close partnership with their developers Matexi and Chateaux Real Estate.
With 22,500 sq m retail space, 3,000 sq m dedicated to Food & Beverage and approximately 400 apartments, the client needed a strong actor to advise them in defining the best commercial mix strategy and once done applying it in finding the suitable operators that will be part of this exceptional project.
However, it has not always been an easy journey. Indeed, the teams had to prove their capability to reinvent themselves through different scenarios such as for example, demonstrate to the city center of Hasselt that Quartier Bleu had to be seen as an extension and a real added value rather than a commercial threat.
